Club Licenses MC0YAD MW0YAD and GB3YA Repeater held by Ken Smith MW0YAC smithken747@gmail.com

We hope that the footprint of our new VHF repeater has far exceeded the old UHF repeater due to the nature of the band.
Testing will be carried out in the next few days to determine coverage.
Initial tests proving excellent. Bath is end stop and a QSO into Axminster by YNP returned an S8 signal and even the Rogerstone side of Newport which used to be very scratchy is now giving 5 over 9 + 40.
J29 M4 getting in OK as is Malpas to the Coldra again end stop where it was fluttery before...watch this space for updates and tests and thanks to all who contributed..

GB3YA is South East Wales' newest repeater. The repeater is now up and running . Please use it
145.712.5 Receive

It is located in Henllys Cwmbran with an excellent take off position
If YOU wish to donate to the upkeep of the repeater please see Mark or Kevin on a Wednesday night
As soon as we can we will put a paypal donation page HERE
We will also be starting a GB3YA repeater group in the near future.. Thanks for the donations we have already had
GB3RT is now no longer in use due to the unplanned removal by the former NOV holder who is no longer a member of the club .
Apologies to all but this was in NO WAY Instigated or the intention of Cwmbran ADARS who had no involvement whatsoever
Everybody is welcome to use this repeater but please remember repeaters are primarily used for mobile stations.
Cwmbran and district amateur radio society will usually have a Monday night net here, please feel free to join in around 19.30 hrs ( Repeater Keeper MW0YAC)
